Wycombe Swan, High Wycombe
We rose to the challenge of singing in a theatre at the Wycombe Swan, a very active theatre in the heart of High Wycombe. Adapting to the acoustics of a small theatre demands a different approach to singing in a large cathedral.
The concert was well attended and the audience delighted with the performance. It was in aid of the 'Child Bereavement Charity' based in West Wycombe
The soloists were a refreshing departure from our usual operatic soloists and we were entertained by John O'Hare on the Alto Saxophone who gave a superb performance of the Love Theme from Cinema Paradiso. The other soloist was Lucy Kerans-Hunt who is building up a career in musical theatre, she sang items from Sondheim to Abba.
Berwyn again kept the evening flowing and our accompanist was choir member Mike Williams who,in the absence of our regular accompanist Annabel Thwaite, performed excellently. Our Musical Director Haydn James conducted.
