  • Michael is from Whitland (Hen-dy-Gwyn ar Daf) in Pembrokeshire, educated at Whitland Grammar School and UWIST, Cardiff.. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Engineering & Technology having worked in semiconductors and advanced materials. He played rugby for Pontypridd (1978-1985), Ebbw Vale, and represented the Welsh Secondary Schools. He is also an advocate for the "Looseheadz" mental health through rugby charity.
